Covington: UFC won't give me Masvidal fight

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington doesn't believe the promotion will allow him to have a second fight against Jorge Masvidal, who yesterday announced his career resumption.

“I don’t think the UFC will greenlight a fight like that because they saw how easy it was for me to beat him the first time. I confidently beat him in every round, knocking him down. So I don’t think the UFC will ever give me such an easy fight again.

The UFC loves to organize prestigious high-class fights. They won’t want to give me an amateur who is not on my level,” Lowkick MMA quotes Covington as saying.

Let us remember that in March last year, Covington defeated Masvidal by unanimous decision.
