Pimblett names Trump's favorite fighter after Covington loss

British UFC lightweight prospect Paddy Pimblett announced that after the defeat of the former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington it was he who became the new favorite of the 45th US President Donald Trump.

“Now I’m Donald Trump’s favorite fighter after the way Colby looked [in the Edwards fight],” Pimblett wrote in X.

Let us remember that last weekend at the UFC 296 tournament, Covington failed his third attempt to become a full-fledged champion, losing on points to Leon Edwards. Pimblett won points over Tony Ferguson in the same event.
