Jones' coach reacts to UFC decision

Brandon Gibson, trainer of the UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, reacted to the promotion’s decision to retain the championship title for Bones during his recovery from injury, and after his return to organize a fight with Miocic.

“The time to fight Aspinall will come, I’m sure. But first we must achieve our goal - to fight Stipe. And whatever Tom thinks about this, whether it’s fair or not, Anthony Smith said it very true on this matter: Jon Jones can do whatever he wants. I am of the same opinion. "We have an injury, a timeline for a return, and the UFC is not going to strip Jon Jones of the heavyweight championship."
