Hearn explained why he no longer sees Fury as the clear favorite for the fight with Usyk

The head of the promotion company Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between Tyson Fury And Alexander Usik, scheduled for February 17 in Riyadh.

“I used to consider Tyson the clear favorite. But after the fight with Ngannou, I no longer have the same confidence. No one knows exactly what Fury's physical condition is now. In my opinion, he is lucky that Usyk is not a puncher. He was lucky that Alexander was much smaller. Because if instead of Usik there had been someone else - someone larger and more powerful in the power struggle... Then I admit that Fury’s confidence would have evaporated before our eyes.

Fury will win against Usyk. However, I am not going to write Alexander off. I think the main question is Fury’s physical and mental state after the fight with Ngannou,” Hearn said on The MMA Hour show.
