Yumnam Santosh Singh (b. April 1, 1995) hails from Thoubal, India, where he laid the foundation for his boxing aspirations. Growing up in Manipur, a region known for its rich sporting culture, he discovered his passion for the sport at a young age. His commitment and early potential led him to train under Coach Nirjit at YAS beginning at age 15. Under this tutelage, Singh rapidly advanced through the amateur ranks, capturing several medals and earning recognition in regional and national competitions.
Transitioning into the professional ranks in late 2018, Singh has competed consistently in the super-featherweight division. Over the span of his career, he has accumulated a professional record of 3 wins and 6 losses, with no draws. He made his debut on December 9, 2018, marking the beginning of a series of bouts primarily held in Bangalore, India.
Singh’s professional journey has featured a mix of narrow setbacks and hard-earned victories. He earned notable wins over Venkatajalapathy K—first via majority decision in January 2023, then by unanimous decision in July 2024. More recently, in February 2025, he faced Umesh Chavan in Goa but suffered a unanimous decision loss. Known for his orthodox stance and resilience in the ring, Singh continues to build experience and refine his craft as he prepares for future challenges.
