Former UFC middleweight titleholder Robert Whittaker shared his thoughts on a potential fight between the full and interim lightweight champions — Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
Recall that yesterday, on January 25, Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 324 in Las Vegas, USA.
“Ilia's striking technique is a head above all fighters in the UFC. His wrestling and jiu-jitsu are also top-notch. His timing, instinct for attack, counterattack — he'll make you pay for every wrong move. Changes need to happen in Gaethje's camp to make the fight competitive. The Justin who fought Paddy won't beat Ilia now,” Whittaker is quoted by the Red Corner MMA account on the social network X.
