"Belts are no longer important to me. I have two shiny belts at home—they look beautiful, but I just want to fight. I want to do the same things I did on my way to the championship title. Yes, I performed excellently when defending the belt, but now I want to fight more freely and try risky things," Adesanya said during the Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA show.
It is worth noting that the 36-year-old Adesanya is on a three-fight losing streak. In his last fight, which took place in February, the New Zealand Nigerian was knocked out by Nassurdin Imavov.
