Former UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis reacted to the information about the imminent scheduling of a fight between current titleholder Khamzat Chimaev and Nassourdine Imavov.
"Imavov will get a title shot. It makes sense. It will be an interesting fight, but Khamzat, of course, will win. The problem with the middleweight division is that there is no one who consistently wins. How to choose a contender? A guy has two good fights and one terrible one. There are many good fighters, but the problem is stability. I'm glad it's not me who chooses opponents for Khamzat," said Du Plessis in an interview with Fight Forecast.
Let us remind you that Chimaev won the title in August by unanimous decision over Du Plessis.
