UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena believes that former titleholder of the lower division, Islam Makhachev, underestimates his ground skills.
The Australian and the Dagestani will face off in the main event of UFC 322, which will take place on November 15 in New York, USA.
“I think Makhachev underestimates me in grappling. He will be thinking about how to take me down, hold me, and finish me. So, I think I can surprise him in grappling. However, I think we will spend most of this fight standing,” Della Maddalena is quoted by Bloody Elbow.
