The legendary American former UFC champion in two weight categories, Jon Jones, is ready to apologize to the head of the promotion, Dana White, for the opportunity to perform at the promotion's debut event near the White House.

Recall that in June of this year, 38-year-old Jones refused a fight with Tom Aspinall and relinquished his heavyweight champion powers.

"I think my main goal is to try to get into the list of participants in the tournament at the White House. I'm giving Dana the freedom of choice. Dana changed my life. He changed the lives of my children. I'm forever grateful to him. We had a verbal agreement that wasn't fulfilled. But I was wrong. Looking back at what happened, I can say I was wrong.

I would like to meet Dana face to face and just apologize, so we can leave the past behind and get back to making big money and organizing entertainment for the fans," Jones said in an interview with No Scripts Podcast.
