UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall admitted that he has thought about leaving mixed martial arts several times.
āIām very lucky, there were many moments when I didnāt want to do this sport. Many people who donāt do this sport and donāt compete professionally donāt understand how financially hard it is. Especially when children come along. I wanted to give it all up so many times. And many times my father reminded me: āListen, weāve been doing this for a long time. We canāt stop. Just keep going,āā Aspinall said in an interview with Demetrious Johnson.
It should be noted that Aspinall has not appeared in the octagon since last July, when he knocked out Curtis Blaydes.
