Aspinall: "There have been many times when I wanted to quit MMA"

UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall admitted that he has thought about leaving mixed martial arts several times.

“I’m very lucky, there were many moments when I didn’t want to do this sport. Many people who don’t do this sport and don’t compete professionally don’t understand how financially hard it is. Especially when children come along. I wanted to give it all up so many times. And many times my father reminded me: ‘Listen, we’ve been doing this for a long time. We can’t stop. Just keep going,’” Aspinall said in an interview with Demetrious Johnson.

It should be noted that Aspinall has not appeared in the octagon since last July, when he knocked out Curtis Blaydes.
