Brady: “I am the number one contender in the welterweight division”

American UFC welterweight Sean Brady, ranked first in the division, believes he should be the next title contender.

“I am the number one contender. Next to my name is the number one, so I am the first contender. Shavkat is number two, even though they say he is next. But if you look at who he has beaten lately, and who I have beaten, it becomes clear that it should be me.

I am not going to wait for something that is not guaranteed. If the UFC wants me to fight Shavkat, I agree. I know that I am the best fighter in the world, on this planet, so if I have to beat Shavkat and then fight for the belt, I am ready,” Brady is quoted by MMA Fighting.

Let’s remember that on May 10, in the main event of UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada, welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will defend the title in a fight against Jack Della Maddalena.
