Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman believes that the promotion's management is interested in organizing a fight between lightweight belt holder Islam Makhachev and Elijah Topuria, who still holds the belt in the welterweight category.
"Topuria can still get the fight with Makhachev. I understand his logic, he just vacated the featherweight title. If they told me that I would definitely get a title fight in another weight class, I would agree to give up the title. I think the UFC has a vested interest in putting this fight together," Usman said on the Pound4Pound podcast.
