Ruffy: "I will end the Makhachev era in front of Khabib"

Brazilian UFC lightweight Mauricio Ruffy is confident he can put an end to Islam Makhachev's championship reign.

"When I was constructing my style, I definitely added a pinch of Conor. I'm a big McGregor fan, I like his style. When I'm ready to fight Islam Makhachev, I'm going to invite Conor McGregor into my corner. He and I will be facing these Russians. I want Conor to taste victory over the Dagestanis too.

Naturally, Islam will have Khabib in his corner. I want Conor to witness me ending the era of Islam Makhachev. I will finish him in front of Khabib," Ruffy is quoted by MMA Junkie.

Recall that Ruffi last fought in March at UFC 313, knocking out Bobby Green.
