Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo believes lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev will make his next title defense not against Elijah Topuria.
"Islam has given the featherweight champion a chance before. And Khabib is probably insisting that Elijah should have a title fight first. I think Islam is ready to fight anyone. But Khabib is holding his friend back. It is for this reason that I would bet that Islam will make a defense against Gatji," Sehudo said in an interview with Mike Bohn.
Recall, earlier Topuria, who gave up the belt in the welterweight category, said that the UFC management guaranteed him a fight with Makhachev.
