Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington believes former full titleholder Leon Edwards should hang the gloves on the division.
Edwards suffered his second straight defeat last weekend, losing on points to Shawn Brady.
"I've thought for a long time that he has a motivation problem. You could see that from our fight. I broke my foot early in the encounter and he didn't take advantage of any of that. He didn't try to finish me at all. Leon was just working for points and waiting for the decision. So after that fight, I realized the hunger was gone in him.
He just got too rich. Thanks to me, thanks to one of our press conferences, he got too much money. All in all, I think he has no motivation anymore and he should hang the gloves on the nail," MMA Junkie quoted Covington as saying.
