Andy Aspinall, father and coach of interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, has reached out to full division champion Jon Jones, who is in no hurry to accept a fight with his son.
"I think Tom has earned his title shot for a long time. Under the terms of the UFC contract, every fighter is required to fight three fights a year. If you don't want to defend the title, just vacate it! Tom wants activity. As his coach, I want him to perform at the peak of his form too. As a reminder, Aspinall has been idle since last July, when he knocked out Curtis Blades in the first round.
