Former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Porier commented on undisputed titleholder Islam Makhachev's desire to move up to the welterweight division.
"Islam is an incredible fighter, a great champion. He will be hard to beat for anyone who comes across his path. Honestly, I think Islam can move up to welterweight and have success there. As for the secret, I don't know Islam personally, but I'm sure he's very disciplined, he's been practicing this craft since he was a kid. So right now Makhachev is the best fighter on the planet outside of weight classes," Sports Illustrated quoted Puryear as saying.
