Weidman: "In the UFC, you go from affluence to poverty."

Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman spoke about the difficulties many fighters face in the promotion.

"There are rookies who are in the same place I was years ago... The UFC has to make new stars out of these guys. And there are former champions like me who are not doing well, you lose fights... In the UFC you basically go from wealth to poverty, and it's bitter, but that's the business," Weidman said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Recall that in the middle of this month, Weidman announced the end of his career.
