Hooker: "Makhachev won't move up to welterweight"

UFC U.S. lightweight Dan Hooker doesn't believe his division's champion Islam Makhachev will make a foray into the welterweight division for a second title.

"Makhachev won't go up to 170 pounds.... No, I don't think so. Has Khabib ever fought at 170 pounds? He's been talking about it for half a decade, they'll be talking about it for half a decade, but they'll never do it," Hooker said in an interview with Submission Radio.

Recall that on January 19, Makhachev defended his belt for the fourth time, defeating Renato Moicano with a choke hold.
