UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has once again stated that he would like to win a belt in the welterweight division before retiring.

"The welterweight title is my dream. But at 77kg, there's Belal, who will be defending his belt soon. He and I have the same manager, Ali. We'll sit down and talk things out. I dream of becoming a double champion, I do not want to leave this sport without a second title," - said Makhachev on the stream Edin Ross.

Makhachev will face Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of UFC 311 on January 19.
