UFC Irish welterweight Ian Harry commented on his loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in Las Vegas, USA.
"Yes, I didn't get my hand raised today. Yes, I didn't win, but I don't feel like a loser. I went out to fight a real giant and proved that he's not that scary. I spent the fight on short notice against a most dangerous opponent. I stopped almost everything he was doing. He wasn't close to finishing me, I took his back, I had fun.
I proved that I can compete with top fighters. I showed that I'm worthy of being a champion. I can do that for five rounds and there are no holes in my game, he didn't bring anything new to me, he didn't surprise me, he won according to the judges and that's fine. I lost, but I'm happy. I'm happy with what I did," Harry said at a press conference.
Recall that Harry lost to Rakhmonov by unanimous decision.
