Johnson: "The version of Jones that we saw in the Miocic fight, Aspinall is capable of winning"

Former UFC lightweight champion Demetrious Johnson shared his thoughts on a potential fight between the promotion's heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones and interim belt holder Tom Aspinall.

"Aspinall has the speed, athleticism and power to give Jones trouble. Tom is still young and getting better. However, the version of Jon Jones that we saw in the Miocic fight, Tom Aspinall is capable of beating him. I can safely say that, simply because there is a guy who is going to fight Jon Jones and not be intimidated by him. But can Tom Aspinall run into one of Jones' trademark elbows or knees? 1000%," Johnson is quoted by BJ Penn as saying.

Recall that Jones knocked out Stipe Miocic last weekend at UFC 309 in New York, USA.
