UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones once again touched on the topic of a potential bout with lower division belt holder Alex Pereira.
"It was cool to fight for the heavyweight title, but I would have willingly and turned it down. I gave up the heavyweight title. I'd love to walk away on top, on my own terms, with a healthy head and a lot of money. I like my position.
A fight with Pereira for the BMF title would be awesome. We have two titles each in two weight classes. In our fight, we would fight for a third title. How cool would that be," Jones told SportsNet.
As a reminder, Jones will defend his title against Stipe Miocic this weekend at UFC 309 in New York, USA.
