Du Plessis: "There is no middleweight stronger and more powerful than me"

UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis expressed confidence that he is capable of inflicting his first defeat on Khamzat Chimaev.

"When I fight, I don't know what it is to back down. I will come out and chop. We've seen Hamzat get tired after a round and a half because he uses too much power. Sure, he has wrestling technique, but his weapon is power. So Hamzat is a gun, and I am a tank, if we talk about physical strength. There is no middleweight stronger and more powerful than me," Du Plessis told TMZ Sports.

Du Plessis is expected to fight Sean Strickland in January.
