Rakic - about the fight with Ankalaev: "I take this chance very seriously"

UFC Austrian welterweight Aleksandar Rakic has said he intends to ruin the promotion's plans to become the next title challenger in the division.

Rakic is set to share the octagon with Dagestan's Magomed Ankalaev on Oct. 26 at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

"This is a very serious opportunity for me to prove myself. I've been working hard on myself and watching the moves between Ankalaev and Pereira. I didn't want to say anything about it. My main goal was to fully prepare for Magomed. You know, to approach this fight fully focused and to put on a show.

I'm taking this opportunity very seriously. I've been working hard on it. I saw on social media how things were going back and forth between Ancalaev and Pereira. I didn't want to say anything. My main goal was to train hard, get ready for Mohammed, be 100 percent focused on him, put on a show on Saturday and ruin the UFC's plans," MMA Junkie quoted Rakic as saying.
