Adesanya named the greatest heavyweight in MMA history

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya responded to which heavyweight he considers the greatest in mixed martial arts history.

"The greatest heavyweight for a while was Kane Velasquez. Then there was Stipe Miocic. He's very good too, he used to beat Ngannou. But Francis took a very brutal revenge on him. So it's all subjective. As far as I'm concerned, Francis is the greatest heavyweight in history. Even though John has the UFC belt now, he's only had one fight in the heavyweight division. He may be the greatest fighter in history, but he's not a heavyweight. Tom Aspinall is on the rise right now, but he's still just starting his journey. I'm happy for Ngannou. He had to go through nightmarish obstacles on his way to this win," Adesanya was quoted as saying by MMA Fighting.

Recall that Ngannou won the PFL title last weekend by knocking out Renan Ferreira.
