Aldo wants to win the belt: 'My fire burns brighter than ever'

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, 38, has made it clear that he hasn't given up on his desire to conquer the lightweight division.

"I train so much, you have no idea. All the rookies and talented guys look at me and say, 'He's already accomplished everything and he's working everything in training like crazy.' When I set an example, I hope to light a fire in someone. Because my fire burns brighter than ever. That's what it takes to be a champion.

Mario Bautista? I don't care what he's accomplished. I don't care what he's ranked. Fighting him is just a step towards my goal. I want to fight for the belt again," MMA Junkie quoted Aldo as saying.

Aldo is scheduled to share the octagon with Mario Bautista at UFC 307 on the night of October 6 in Salt Lake City, USA.
