Topuria: 'McGregor now represents alcohol and drugs more than sports'

UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria answered whether he is interested in a bout against the promotion's top star Conor McGregor.

"A fight with Conor is one option, but if I was offered it now I would say no because there are bigger fights than him. He's not the McGregor he used to be.

This is the McGregor that represents alcohol and drugs more than the sport. Conor inspired me, I admired him when I was a teenager, but it's all gone because he betrayed the values that brought him to the top. We lost an idol," MMA Mania quoted Topuria as saying.

As a reminder, Topuria will defend the belt against Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 308 on October 26 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
