Already former UFC flyweight champion Sean O'Malley has revealed that he is going to put his career on pause following his loss to Merab Dvalishvili.

"I need to take a break to fully recover. It will be great to finally rest and do nothing. Right after the fight with Sterling, I knew I had a fight with Vera scheduled. And after the fight with Marlon, I had a fight with Dvalishvili. Now, after this fight, I don't have any plans or commitments.

I just need to recover. I'm going to heal my injuries and then come back slowly. Maybe I won't fight for 9 or 10 months, maybe even a year," said the American in his podcast.

Last weekend, O'Malley lost to Dvalishvili by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 306 in Las Vegas, USA.
