Former Bellator welterweight champion Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov has announced that his partnership with the American promotion has come to an end.
"Friends, my contract with Bellator is over. It's been an unforgettable six years. A time that will forever remain in my heart. Thank you all, I'll let you know my next steps soon!
Unforgettable emotions during the title win and even more so during the title defense. The first defeat in 11 years, the war in my country..... but it all made me stronger. It's all a small part of a big story. It's not the end, but a fresh start.
I'm ready for a new stage. There are new horizons and new heights ahead. My journey continues. I'm grateful to everyone who's been there for me. Those who supported and those who doubted.
p.s. The story does not end, but only changes direction. See you in the octagon," - wrote Amosov.
Recall that last November Amosov suffered the first defeat in his career, losing by knockout to Jamaican Jason Jackson. Before that, the Ukrainian was on a streak of 27 consecutive victories.
