Former UFC middleweight titleholder Robert Whittaker has spoken out about training together with IBF light heavyweight division one boxing champion Jay Opetaia.
"Jay is undoubtedly one of the best [boxers] in the world. I'm honored to spar with him, simply because I can benefit from it. No one in the UFC middle division has cooler boxing skills than him. When I work with him, I can see what he uses and what weaknesses he identifies in me. It helps me improve my reflexes, vision and timing. Boxing is his territory. I'm boxing against a world champion, so it would be arrogant of me to think I can be better than him," - quotes Whittaker BJ Penn.
Recall that Whittaker is scheduled to fight Hamzat Chimaev on October 26 at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
