Topuria: "If I'm offered a lightweight fight, I'd love it"

UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria says he's ready to try his hand in the lightweight division.

"I could have moved up to lightweight right after Volkanovski, but I decided to stay at welterweight. I will defend the belt, but I will be ready for anything. If they offer me a fight at lightweight - I will be only happy. I respect all my opponents, including Makhachev and Holloway. I understand what it takes to get to such heights, what sacrifices a man has to make for it.

But I represent a new generation of MMA fighters. I have a unique style that just wasn't there before in the UFC. I'm getting better. The time will come when everyone will realize it," - quotes Topuria MMA Junkie.

Recall that on October 26 at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Topuria will make a title defense against Max Holloway.
