UFC American lightweight Rick Glenn has spoken out about his division's champion Islam Makhachev of Dagestan.
"Islam is just on another level and he also races a lot of weight. I was surprised he still hasn't moved up to welterweight. Man, I trained with him in the same gym. And before the weigh-in he could barely move, he was throwing punches slowly like a zombie.
Now he's doing well making weight and then recovering. But I worry that if he can't recover from the weigh-in, someone will knock him out. It's impressive how Islam races so much weight and then regains his conditioning," MMA News quoted Glenn as saying.
Recall that in early June, Makhachev made his third title defense, defeating Dustin Puryear with a choke hold.
