UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has backed former interim titleholder Tony Ferguson ahead of his fight with Michael Chiesa.
"Honestly, I want him to win. It's time for him to retire, but this guy is still fighting. It's crazy, he's crazy. I wish him all the best," Makhachev said at the press conference.
Recall that Ferguson and Chiesa will fight in the framework of the tournament UFC on ABC 7, which will take place today, August 3, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The fight will take place in the welterweight limit.
