British UFC lightweight division prospect Peddie Pimblett reacted to criticism of the UFC 304 tournament from the promotion's top star, Irishman Conor McGregor.
"Conor is talking nonsense, this is the best UFC tournament in Britain. The title fight between Edwards and Muhammad. The fight for the interim belt between Aspinall and Blades. People want to see this because of Tom's injury in the first fight. My fight against Green could headline the Fight Night Series tournament. Allen vs Chikaze sounds great too.
I like Conor, but he's wrong here. If they send me a contract with his name on it, I'm ready. We'll see how things work out. After the fight with Green, I will have to negotiate with the UFC," Pimblett said in an interview with the New York Post.
Recall that the show UFC 304 will take place on July 27 in Manchester, UK. Pimblett will share the octagon with Bobby Green.
