Lopez has no interest in a fight with Sterling.

Brazilian welterweight Diego Lopez has responded to the challenge issued to him by former lightweight champion Aljamain Sterling.

"It doesn't make sense right now. We were supposed to fight the number three in the world, we ended up fighting the thirteenth and moved up two spots. The UFC has already guaranteed me a fight with an opponent from the top five, so now the fight with Aljamain does not make sense, as well as a rematch with Yevloyev," said the Brazilian in an interview with Canal Encarada.

Recall that on June 29 at UFC 303, Lopez won by unanimous decision of judges over Dan Ige.
