Anik on McGregor: "It's not always easy to be the UFC's biggest superstar"

UFC commentator, expert and analyst Jon Anik has spoken out about the long downtime of the promotion's former two-weight champion Conor McGregor.

"I'm just tired. It doesn't mean I don't like him or hate him. I'm just exhausted. I think I'm frustrated is probably the right word when it comes to some of Conor McGregor's inactivity. But overall, I think a lot of it is out of his control. It's not always easy being the UFC's biggest superstar. It's definitely not easy when you break your leg and then obviously he had a setback in this last training camp," MMAJunkie quoted Anik as saying.

As a reminder, McGregor hasn't appeared in the octagon since July 2021, when he broke his leg in a fight with Dustin Puryear.
