Dillashaw: "I was a professional athlete and I became a one-armed cripple."

"I still can't lift my arm above my head. I don't know if my shoulder will ever get back to normal. It's driving me into depression. Athletes are supposed to keep a positive attitude, but that's the approach that got me to this state.

After every surgery, it gets worse. I went to the best specialist in the world. He said he'd never seen anything like it. He said it was like a bomb had exploded in there. Not long ago I was a professional athlete, and now I'm a cripple with one arm. It's hard to come to terms with that," Dillashaw said on Quinton Jackson's podcast.

Recall that Dillashaw hung up his gloves after losing to Aljamain Sterling in October 2022.
