UFC American middleweight Brendan Allen said he turned down a fight against Nassurdin Imavov at the tournament in Paris because the promotion did not make the fight the main event of the event.

It was previously reported that the show scheduled for September 28 will be headlined by a fight between middleweights Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint-Denis.

"People ask me when my next fight is. Two weeks ago I was offered Imavov in Paris. I responded by agreeing. But I wanted to lead the tournament - after all, I will come to enemy territory and risk a lot. But they put the fight between Saint-Denis and Moicano as the main event. I'm not going to go to bloody Paris to have those two fight in a more important fight. The first one just lost, the second one barely won. I don't like that.

Imavov, you want to fight me, come to America. You and I should not be valued below these guys. Here we will do everything by beauty," Allen said in a video published on social networks.
