UFC American lightweight Michael Chandler, who hasn't stepped into the octagon since last November, has made it clear that he will wait patiently for a box office fight with former two-weight champion Conor McGregor.
"We hope to be back sooner than everyone thinks. I like fighting, but I'm a very patient person. And luckily my life has given me the opportunity to do more than just smash people's faces in. So I have the ability to sit back and be patient while waiting for Conor.
The last year and a half I've been very busy. It didn't work out the way I wanted it to this time. We're going to be patient and not let Conor go unpunished. He will be ready to come back soon as he only has a minor injury," Chandler is quoted by Low Kick MMA.
Recall that Chandler and McGregor were supposed to headline UFC 303, but the star Irishman pulled out due to injury.
