Whittaker: "If Chimaev had come out instead of Aliskerov, I would have knocked him out as well"

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker believes he would have knocked out Hamzat Chimaev had he stepped up to fight him at the UFC on ABC 6 event in Saudi Arabia.

Recall, Chimaev withdrew from the fight due to health problems. He was replaced by Ikram Aliskerov and lost by knockout in the first round.

"I was very well prepared. I'm 99% sure I would have knocked Hazmat out as well. One day our paths might cross at middleweight, that's the way our business works. But Chimaev dodged a bullet this time, that's for sure," Whittaker said on The MMA Hour show.
