UFC fighter admits to doping

Brazilian middleweight Joilton Lutterbach pleaded guilty to using banned drugs.

Lutterbach was scheduled to fight Sharabutdin Magomedov on June 22 at UFC on ABC 6 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but failed a doping test.

"I was smoking three months ago. But at that time I didn't know I was going to be signed to the UFC yet. I could have hidden in the mountains to avoid taking the test. Or go to Thailand like a lot of people do. But I took the risk. I thought I was clean and ready to fight.

Sub-Ziro will be frozen for a few months. I apologize to the UFC and Shara. I will be frozen but not dead. I will be back soon," Lutterbach wrote in X.
