UFC fighter admits to smoking before fights

UFC Brazilian welterweight Carlos Prates refuses to call himself an athlete for not living a healthy lifestyle.

"I'm not an athlete. I like to say I'm a fighter, not an athlete. Sometimes I go to parties, smoke cigarettes and drink. Of course it's not good, but I know how to find a way to win. When I come to workout, I'm the first one to get to the gym and the last one to leave. Because of my lifestyle, sometimes people say nasty things, but my coach knows how to work with me," said Prates.

Last weekend at UFC on ESPN 57, Prates knocked out Charlie Radtkei in the first round and received a bonus for "Performance of the Night."
