UFC commentator and expert Jon Anik believes that the promotion's former interim lightweight champion, American Dustin Puryear, may stick around in mixed martial arts just for a fight with star compatriot Nate Diaz.
"Dustin is still pretty damn good. He's got the IQ and he was knocked out by Justin Gaethje last summer and he just got his face smashed in his fight with Islam Makhachev. So I think a fight with Nate Diaz is the only fight that I think Dustin would be interested in," Anik said on The Anik & Florian Podcast.
Recall that on June 1 at the UC 302 show, Puryear lost to Islam Makhachev with a choke hold.
