Makhachev is ready to move up to middleweight for a title fight

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev said he's willing to move up two divisions for a championship fight with Dricus Du Plessis.

"The middleweight champion is also very versatile, a good fighter, with skills. We would make a good, competitive fight. I know I have a good chance for the second belt," - quotes MMA Mania Makhachev.

Recall that last weekend Makhachev defended the title for the third time, defeating Dustin Puryear by choke in the fifth round. The fight was the main event of the UFC 302 tournament in Newark, USA.
