According to the promotion, Sergey Masloboev, the former champion of the organization in this weight class, has decided to relinquish the belt after it was revealed that his doping test for prohibited substances was positive.
“I want to state very clearly that I have never intentionally used any prohibited substance. I have sent all my supplements for testing to find the source of any contamination, because I am absolutely dedicated to clean sport and fair play and have devoted my life to this sport. I decided to vacate the title while I investigate the source of my positive test. No matter how it may look from the outside, I clearly and honestly say: I have not intentionally used any prohibited substance,” commented the fighter on the situation.
