Former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder once again reminded everyone about his most desired fight — against unified champion Oleksandr Usyk.
"He gave me his word that we will fight. And I will remind him of this — I will hold him to that promise," the 'Bronze Bomber' stated firmly in a recent interview.
For now, Deontay is preparing for a completely different trial: on April 4 in London, he will step into the ring against experienced Briton Derek Chisora. Many are already calling this fight a test for Wilder, after which it will become clear whether the 40-year-old knockout artist can return to the top of the division and genuinely aim for a meeting with the Ukrainian champion.
It is worth adding that Usyk's opponent has still not been officially announced.
