Former WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder once again made harsh statements against Tyson Fury, claiming that the Briton defeated him twice unfairly.
In an interview given ahead of his upcoming fight with Derek Chisora (April 4 in London), the 'Bronze Bomber' stated that Fury’s official victories in their trilogy (2018 and 2021) were the result of cheating.
'He didn’t beat me twice at all. I'm telling you what I know to be true. You only saw the picture that was presented to you. Fury didn’t win anything—he was just given the victory,' Wilder said.
According to the American, Fury 'definitely cheated' in two of the three fights. Wilder claims to have serious evidence:
'I have proof. When I make a documentary about this, everything will be presented to the public. I will bring people, show materials. Everything will become clear.'
Wilder went even further, linking accusations to Fury's alleged inability to return to the US:
'Why do you think he can't come back to America now? This man cheated. He is the biggest cheater in boxing history. If I'm lying—please tell him to sue me for defamation. I look forward to this moment because then everyone will see the evidence.'
Let us recall that earlier Wilder already made allegations about Fury’s gloves, officiating in the first fight (particularly the long count after the knockdown in the 12th round), and even mentioned a racial context in the actions of referee Jack Reiss.
