The WBO world heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley reacted to Tyson Fury's recent statements about a possible return to the ring this year and directly addressed the "Gypsy King", expressing his readiness for a fight.
In an exclusive comment to Boxing Social, Wardley wished Fury good luck in his preparations: "I hope he's doing well. I hope he's training hard and losing weight. I think he's enjoying the sun in Thailand and having a good time there."
Wardley, who recently became the legitimate champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title, hinted that Fury might need a tune-up fight after a long break. "If you need a recovery fight—alright, do what you have to do. But if you really want it, then a tune-up fight isn't necessary. It's just the old me—don't worry, I won't be a problem for you. When you're done, call me," said the Brit.
Let us recall that recently Tyson Fury, who ended his "retirement" and is actively training in Thailand, named Wardley as one of the possible opponents for 2026, along with Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.
